Star Wars became an epic pop culture phenomenon. It made billions of dollars! And all thanks to its maker George Lucas,
who by the way wasn't a director of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, but he participated in story writing. First movie won 6 Oscar awards, second movie directed by Irvin Kershner won 2 Oscar awards.
