I think so far the best Ron Howard work as a director A Beautiful mind, written by Akiva Goldsman and Sylvia Nasar. A story of John Forbes Nash Jr. and his great mind, so great that he saw more than ordinary people. The question is - was a paranoia caused by his great mind, or it was just his fate to get sick!

 Extraordinary story  about peoples unlimited possibilities, strond love and humans fate. Also a great way to show how paranoia looks... Ron Howard has alsos made great movies like Rush (2013), Apollo 13 (1995), The Da Vinci Code (2006) and others.
Also movie won a four Oscar awards!
